Kevin W. Callahan is the Owner of Myers Pipe Organ Service and a lifelong musician dedicated to the care, preservation, and artistic integrity of the pipe organ. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Kevin brings both deep regional roots and extensive professional experience to his work serving churches throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

A graduate of Archbishop Curley High School, Kevin began formal organ study in 2012 under Michael Gaffney before enrolling at Towson University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music while studying organ with Tim Murphy. During his time at Towson, Kevin was selected as a recipient of the Towson University Talent Competition and scholarship. In 2017, he was named an E. Power Biggs Fellow by the Organ Historical Society and attended their Minneapolis–St. Paul convention on scholarship.

Kevin has served the Catholic Church as an organist for over 15 years and currently holds the position of Director of Music and Liturgy at Sacred Heart Church in Glyndon, Maryland, a role he has held since 2020. There, he directs several ensembles, including the adult choir, handbell choir, and children’s choir, supporting a vibrant and growing sacred music program.

Professionally, Kevin completed more than a decade of apprenticeship under Karl Myers, founder of Myers Pipe Organ Service, before assuming ownership of the company upon Karl’s retirement. His experience encompasses organ history, restoration, maintenance, voicing, tuning, and tonal design, along with extensive knowledge of organ literature, registration, and the traditions surrounding the instrument.

Kevin is a member of the American Institute of Organ Builders and the Organ Historical Society, and he serves on the executive board of the American Guild of Organists Baltimore Chapter.

When not traveling the Mid-Atlantic servicing instruments—often assisted by his mother, Roni, or his wife, Aly—Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, including his daughters Cecilia and Josephine.
